Our New Zealand Environment
At Brantome Villa we feel privileged to live in such a beautiful and natural part of the world as New Zealand and feel that it should be preserved for future generations.
Our Eco-Friendly New Zealand Accommodation
Our aim is to make as little impact as possible on our New Zealand environment and to help preserve resources.
Our waste-bottles, cans and paper are recycled. We collect and purify our own water supply; all kitchen waste is fed to our free range chickens or composted and used on our organic vegetable garden and we also support our local New Zealand food suppliers and farmers markets.
Wherever possible we use low energy light bulbs and sensors which turn on only as required. Where possible, in our building projects, we try to only use timber from sustainable resources. We use eco friendly cleaners and line-dry our laundry. In our guest rooms we only use 100% cotton linen. We do not use pesticides on our land and in this way we encourage a diverse community of New Zealand birds and New Zealand wildlife to manage pests naturally.
Our hope is to leave as small a footprint as possible on this unique New Zealand landscape known as Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud).
