The Poor Knights was named by Jacques Cousteau as one of the top dive locations in the world. The Northland area boasts five top golf courses, numerous unspoilt beaches and scenic walks. Closer to home explore the beautiful Whangarei Heads, McLeods Bay, Ocean Beach and the Ruakaka Coast for swimming, world-class fishing and diving opportunities, and if you are lucky, watching doplhins at play (dolphins above at Ocean Beach in Whangarei).

For golf enthusiasts there are a number of outstanding Golf Clubs in the area to choose from. There are also beautiful walks such as AH Read Memorial Kauri Park, Paranui Falls and Harold Menzies Scenic Reserve. Explore the Whangarei Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and visit Longview Estate Winery, 5 minutes south of Whangarei on SH1.
